Getting the business advice and support you need when things are lean can be a daunting process if not apporached properly. We all know that there are agencies out there who have built up unparallelled expertise in all aspects of running a small business; they have experts who have started businesses and managed to not only keep them going, but built them up to be beacons of industry. One of the biggest nightmars of any company is that of HR. That stands for human resources, not human remains as some witty folk have jested before now, although if you have a run in with staff from that department in any organisation, it can sometimes feel like the latter. An empolyer’s advisory group will be able to give you the full low down on every aspect of current employment law. Of course, your own business solicitor can do the same, but for obvious reasons, this is never free – every scond of time put in by your solicitor is chargeable, however that is portrayed. So back to the advisory organisation, they do charge an annual subscription and a newbie start up company will often think that they can dispense with such a luxury – this is false economy. You never know when you are going to need that sound and very experienced business advice when you suddenly fall out with that much loved friend you’ve been paying to work for you – they are in fact an emloyee if you have engaged their services and paid them, deducting their legal goverrnmental stoppages. If they’ve paid their dues themselves then they have been self employed.
