I tried to book a salon car through this site but the fare the confirmation screen did not match the front page... I repeated my choice and the price was just added on i.e. doubled!!
I see the site says "comparison" web site in the title but I could not see how to compare any different fares for my intended journey or even show the compnay I am paying. I wont be using this site anytime soon -

Hi I booked a minibus through taxi quoter Online and i was surprised it was a very smooth service and got a great deal on a return trip to Heathrow from Stratford East London I recommend to anyone make sure you take driver number on booking. -

Sadly I'm in the same boat as everyone else.Made a booking from Stansted to London for £235.No minibus turned up and when trying to contact them on the day of pickup at least 20 times to both numbers got another company to take us.Due to the late booking of the second company it cost us £400.I have tried in vain to contact this company and have passed their details onto the local authorities.Has anyone got any joy from them.Absolutely Disgusted with this so called company -

I had the exact same experience as the last reveiwer. Taxi never showed, the comnpany could not be reached after several calls and I have yet to see my money back. I have also had the delight of speaking with one of thier extremley rude agentson many occasions to seek a refund only to get abuse down the phone. How can this company get away with it? Total scam, DO NOT USE. -

Should have trusted our instincts -don't make the same mistake!
We discovered taxiquoter when browsing the internet for taxi firms, & the idea of being able to pre-book a taxi for a specific time & pay for it in advance seemed like the perfect antidote to the usual trouble with taxis being booked & not turning up or trying to fleece you for more money than the journey should actually cost.
To be honest, alarm bells did ring after booking & pre-paying...especially when on calling the contact number there was no answer at all...
The time came for the taxi to arrive, then 50 minutes later we called the 'emergency' number, (which took several attempts before actually speaking to someone) to find out where the taxi was only to be told by a very rude man, who was laughing the whole time, that their system had been down all day & the card hadn't been charged. There was also very loud background noise of other equally rude men laughing & swearing & what sounded like they were shouting abuse at the people calling up to see where their taxi was.
Luckily, we managed to ring another taxi firm & get a taxi 10 minutes later, which was actually cheaper than taxiquoter charged anyway, so fingers crossed they didn't charge the card...
All in all, a thoroughly dissappointing shady operation, born from the greatest of ideas but destroyed by incompetance & vulgarity. Will not be using them again!
