kipper's Review on camerabox.co.uk Posted on 12/01/2010Rating 1/5Warning - Do not use this company
Ordered camcorder from these muppets in September (now December) for a birthday present. Was promised it would arrive in time. Been chasing the order for the last month being told it would be dispatched the next day each time. The camcorder was shown as in stock on the camerabox couk and digital-cameras dot com website, this was confirmed by staff. I have now been told the order will not be fullfilled as the item is out of stock, I argued the item was showing stock on the website which it was at the time of the phone call. During the call the website was updated to show no stock!

Geowulf's Review on camerabox.co.uk Posted on 03/17/2010Rating 1/5Avoid these cowboys at all costs
'Cheap and cheerful' is the impression they give from their website, however, the truth is a different story.
Their cameras are grey imports, which is why they are cheap.
Their customer service is atrocious, unlike their sales hotline.
Whatever you do, google "camerabox reviews" before you take the plunge, it will hopefully change your mind about ordering from them, spend a few extra quid and go with a reputible dealer (£200 extra in my case, I wish I had).
I ordered a Nikon D700 from them in October 09, it went wrong in December 09.
I followed their procedure for returns, plus I took out the RM postal insurance and sent it back on the 15th December.
They got it on the 16th, but they denied having recieved it for two months.
Meanwhile I claimed against RMs insurance, RM say they got it on the 16th Dec.
They even returned RM P91 form to say thay had got it, but they contued to deny having it when I asked them.
Eventually atter a 2nd P91 form was sent to them by RM (at my request), they admitted to me they got it back on the 16th December.
It is now mid March, and they still have it (over a quarter of a year), I have asked them numerous times to give me an update and they respond with "it's at the repairers, will be another week or two".
I managed to speak to Mr Patrick Cotter, the MD, he was rude, arrogant, patronising and far from helpful. In fact, because I had written an angry email venting my frustrations about Camerabox, he said "I will teach you a lesson for your attitude and not help any further with your issue" (like there wa any help there anyway).
The matter is now with Trading Standards.
Be warned, never ever use these people, you will regret it.
